ICT employee Milko (59) and holistic vet Odette (49) from Den Bommel no longer want performance pressure and stress. They decide to pack up and continue their lives on an old farm in the French Pyrenees. Here they want to receive holidaymakers and start a horse breeding business.
Seven-year plan
They have owned the object for seven years and everything except for their own living area has yet to be done. The renovation is not progressing. They constantly run into problems: leaks, a dormouse infestation, severe weather and many other defects. There is still plenty to do in the old farmhouse. And just cleaning up and leveling the floor won’t get you there…

The chores are tough
Milko is weighed down by this immense job: his body doesn’t want to anymore, but he refuses any kind of help. This much to Odette’s frustration. After all, they had come here for a carefree life….
