„We have to make various gestures towards those who voted for Andrzej Duda and the plan of detours, thanks and joyful picnics is ahead of us. (…) Of course, there is a question why so many of our citizens voted for our opponent, and we analyze it. We are thinking how to change it for the future “- said the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Ryszard Terlecki, when asked on TVN24 whether the Law and Justice would make any gesture towards those voters who voted for Rafał Trzaskowski.
I think there will be such gestures. Here, the issue of youth is particularly important, because this is the future electorate, which was less eager to look at us. We think how to change it. There are many things that contribute to it. One of them is our neglect: we carried out a difficult school reform, but stopped halfway, but we did not carry out the curriculum reform and it takes revenge on us

The conversation also covered the conclusions reached at the European Union summit in Brussels. Terlecki, when asked about divergent opinions on this subject in the United Right camp, replied:
There is no single opinion in our environment. There is one that dominates, but there are views that have different shades.
When asked about the words of Solidarna Polska MPs who demanded a veto if the rule of law was linked to EU funds, Terlecki replied:
This veto was supposed to ensure this success, but it was possible to achieve it without the heaviest cannons. It seems that our allies from Solidarna Polska admitted that this veto was not necessary since the results of the negotiations are favorable
Our coalition partners must distinguish themselves from us, they seek fields where they can safely distinguish themselves
– said Terlecki.
They need to talk a little bit, because they are not PiS, because they are a formation that lines up a bit next to us. In this alliance of the United Right, there are stronger elements and weaker ones

Banaś and the Supreme Audit Office
Terlecki was also asked about the Supreme Chamber of Control and Marian Banas, who is its president. When asked if PiS made a mistake in appointing Banas to the head of the Supreme Audit Office, he replied:
I don’t know if we made a mistake, this is what happens. Not every personnel decision is right.
Maybe we made a mistake, but I do not see the instrument’s ability to fix it

The future of the United Right
Terlecki also referred to the words of Joachim Brudziński, who said that the United Right would fall apart without Jarosław Kaczyński.
Nobody is questioning our leadership position, so this is speaking that has nothing to do with reality

I can’t see, and I don’t think anyone can see. What’s better, the president probably doesn’t see either, at least not yet. We believe that he will remain our president for a long time
