This is called “the new normal”. That is to say the fact of accepting that for a year, we no longer work under normal conditions … and that it is well on the way to last. All the specialists in the world of work say it: if the current situation is exceptional, there will be no going back to the past once the crisis is over. Of course, 100% teleworking for all is impossible, but the professional world of tomorrow will be mostly hybrid. In fact, they intend to grant this flexibility to their employees “because productivity has generally not decreased due to remote work,” says the study.
- 79% of executives plan to let their employees share their time between the company and another workplace, at home or in a coworking space, if their position allows it.
“We’ve learned,” the authors say, “that when employees get the flexibility they crave, their businesses benefit from increased productivity, engagement and loyalty.” He concluded, “Maybe he it took a pandemic to realize that giving workers what they want is good for results… ”
