Hussein Fahmy and his wife accompany the Paralympic champions at the end of the Cairo Film Festival

The artist, Hussein Fahmy, head of the Cairo Film Festival, and his wife, arrived a little while ago, accompanied by Paralympic champions of people of determination, on the red carpet at the conclusion of the Cairo International Film Festival, in its 44th session, which is held at the Egyptian Opera House.The director Amir Ramses, director of the festival, and Mahmoud Abdel Samie, head of the Association the film.

And this year, 97 films from 52 countries in 4 different competitions participated in the 44th session of the Cairo Film Festival, and the number of feature films reached 79 films and 18 short films, as well as 10 classic films, while the number of international films and international premieres reached 30 films, compared to 57 premieres in the Middle East and North Africa region.

The competition judging panel was composed of the international competition jury and included Japanese director Naomi Kawase, head of the jury, cinematographer Nancy Abdel Fattah, from Egypt, actress Swara Bhaskar from India, Egyptian composer Rageh Daoud, and actress Stefania Cassini from Italy. The director, Joaquín del Paso, comes from Mexico and the actor, Samir Qawasmi, from France.

While the International Critics Week competition included writer Ben Sharrock from the UK, Egyptian actor Karim Kassem and critic Hoda Ibrahim from France, the Horizons of Arab Cinema competition jury included actor Michel Kammoun from Lebanon, producer Moufida Fadila from Tunisia and clothes by Reem El Adl, from Egypt.

The short film competition jury also included director Michelangelo Framartino from Italy, who heads the competition jury, producer and screenwriter Ahmed Amer from Egypt, and actress Reem Turki from France/Tunisia. The prize included Egyptian actor Ahmed Magdy, programmer Dorota Lech from Poland and actress Nour from Lebanon.
