Hurricane Laura death toll rises to fourteen in the US

In the United States, the death toll from Hurricane Laura has risen from six to fourteen. With wind speeds of up to about 150 miles per hour, the hurricane crossed the southern states of Texas and Louisiana and caused a lot of damage.

Most people died of carbon monoxide poisoning after turning on generators indoors to generate electricity. Also, four people were killed by a tree that fell on their house and a man drowned after his boat sank in the storm.
