Hundreds of Right Whales Migrate, North Atlantic Situation Precarious?

ALASKA – Melted some Glacier Large size in Antarctica due to climate change really threatens all living things. If the situation continues, it will cause the extinction of several animal species in the next 10 years.

One of them is the right whale of the North Atlantic, which is now threatened with extinction due to climate change and global warming.

As reported by the Global and Escape Forum on Sunday (12/19/20210), there are only about 360 of the North Atlantic Right Whales left, and in the past month they have been seen migrating.

This is because the waters of the Gulf Stream are warming, breaking the food chain and forcing North Atlantic whales to migrate to more dangerous areas.

Erin Meyer-Gutbrod, an assistant professor at the University of South Carolina, said climate change could cause shifts in the distribution of species around the world.

“Anthropogenic climate change is causing a shift in the distribution of species around the world,” Erin said.

It is hoped that the story of the threat of this whale species can be a lesson for implementing a more flexible management scheme.

“The right whale story can serve as a lesson to start expecting the unexpected and adopt a more flexible management scheme,” he continued.
