“Hundreds of Cadres from Democratic Party of Purwakarta Regency Withdraw En Masse”

Hundreds of cadres from the Branch Management Council (DPC), DPAC, Branches to Branches Democratic Party of Purwakarta Regency withdrew en masse. They abandoned the party’s alma mater to return the management file to the Chairperson of the Purwakarta Democratic Party DPC.

Head of Srikandi who is also Deputy Secretary of the DPC Democratic Party of Purwakarta Regency, Rini Meilani stated that she was stepping down in front of the media crew, she took off her clothes and made a letter of resignation.

“I was born from the Democratic party but yes there is no harmony with the current management, I as the head of Srikandi really regret it but this has to be done, because in politics we have to be able to determine attitudes and this is my step to step down from the management and at the same time head of the Srikandi Democratic Party Purwakarta ,” Rini told the media crew, reported detikjabarWednesday (03/05/2023).

This was also agreed by Ade Winarto, one of the DPAC Chairs of Cibatu District, he felt uncomfortable and was not in line with the attitude of the Chairperson of the Democratic Party (PD) Purwakarta Regency.

“I am the chairman of the DPAC of the Cibatu sub-district along with all the administrators both at the sub-district and sub-branch levels today resigning from the Democratic Party,” he said.

DPC Chairman Speaks Up

Asep Chandra, Chairperson of the Purwakarta Democratic Party DPC spoke up, he emphasized that until now he had only received a letter of resignation and did not yet know the reason for their resignation, but he said that it was normal for cadres to enter and leave the organization.

“Even though until this moment I have just received (the resignation letter) I don’t know the clear contents of his resignation earlier. I have conveyed the most important reason in any matter. the usual (cadres resign),” said Asep when met at the Purwakarta Democratic Party DPC office, Thursday (04/05/2023).

Asep said that if the cadres suddenly resigned, there would be no information or prior discussion regarding the mass resignation of the cadres.
