Pérez was tested positively last week and after completing a seven-day quarantine, in the event of a negative result, he could theoretically return behind the wheel at the weekend Grand Prix to mark the 70th anniversary of F1. However, the team said today that although the pilot is feeling well, his test result was again positive for coronavirus.
The 32-year-old Hülkenberg will get a second chance to race again in Formula 1 after Renault last year. He qualified thirteenth in Silverstone last week, but did not even start the British Grand Prix due to an engine failure.
