Penalties for three influencers for promoting financial pyramids
Mateusz Gużda, who ran a business until September 2020 (it was Prime Consulting), was fined almost PLN 510,000. zloty. Zbigniew Lemański, who, according to the anti-monopoly office, promoted the FutureNet and FutureAdPro systems, was fined with over PLN 90,000. zloty. The third entrepreneur fined by the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection is Bartłomiej Żukiewicz, who runs a (suspended) business under the name of Bartłomiej Żukiewicz Investment. As we read in the official statement, in addition to paying a fine, influencers will also have to publish statements about the practices they have performed.
In addition to financial sanctions, entrepreneurs must publish statements on the questioned practices and decisions of the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection on their websites and social media profiles: YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn. In total, the President of UOKiK has already issued four decisions against the so-called beaters for pyramid systems. The financial penalties imposed on them total over PLN 1 million, according to the UOKiK’s announcement.
Earlier, UOKiK fined Damian Żukiewicz, operating under the pseudonym InvestProvider, for promoting the Youtuber pyramids.
