At ElectroWorld today they launched a discount event on various types of electronics and household appliances. Thanks to this, for example, the HP 250 G8 notebook (59U08EA) can be bought advantageously. By default, it is sold for nine thousand and more, after entering a discount code S6HPIT20 but you can have it for 7191 CZK. You won’t buy anything cheaper with such equipment.
The HP 250 G8 will offer a 15.6″ IPS display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. The Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor is ticking inside, this economical dual-core is not the star of the benchmarks, but it is sufficient for less demanding users for office work. It has 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB SSD with pre-installed Windows 11 Home. RAM and SSD can be increased, slots are accessible. It is also possible to add a 2.5″ disk.
On the body we find three USB 3.2 (one USB-C), HDMI 1.4b, an SD card reader, a combined audio jack and, surprisingly, an RJ-45 for gigabit Ethernet, which often disappears from the laptop. In addition, of course, HP also supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5. All this fit into a body with dimensions of 358 × 242 × 20 mm and a weight of 1.74 kg. HP states up to 9 hours of endurance, but in practice according to the Spanish test wait more like 6 hours.
And where are the compromises? The body is only plastic, the display has a brightness of only 250 nits (but don’t expect more in the given class), the keyboard is not backlit, and you would also look for a fingerprint reader in vain. Also, don’t expect miracles from the 720p webcam and speakers, as user reviews on Heureka suggest.
