The well-known whistleblower @Rodent950 revealed on Twitter that Huawei’s next-generation flagship processor is Kirin 9020. Although Huawei is currently unable to purchase due to sanctions, it does not mean that even research and development have to stop. @Rodent950 said that Kirin will not end here, and Kirin 9020 will use the 3nm process, which is more advanced than the current Kirin 9000’s 5nm process.
However, according to the development process of TSMC and Samsung, the 3nm process is not expected to be launched until 2022. If @Rodent950’s revelation is true, the Kirin 9000 processor may last for two to three years, during which there may only be minor upgrades.
