The hockey players of Vítkovice entered the fourth match of the quarterfinal series with the clear goal of knocking down the Steelworks in Třinec for the first time. And they started well. In the 13th minute, Kacetla was defeated by a Russian defender in the service of Rider Pedan. The opening third did not offer more goals and the home team went to the cabins with a one-goal lead.

The second third, however, belonged to the reigning masters. Michal Kovařčík and Daň prevailed within 85 seconds and Třinec took the lead 2: 1 for the first time in the match. The Vítkovice team could not settle in the third period, they lost the match 1: 2, the whole series 0: 4 for the matches and the season was over for them.

Hradec above the abyss, fell again
The need to win. With a clear goal of leveling the series at 2: 2, the hockey players of Hradec Králové entered the match on the ice of Mladá Boleslav. The President’s Cup winner settled 115 seconds before the end when McCormack took the lead, sending the match into overtime. However, even that was not enough for the guests to win for the second time. In the third minute of extra time, Eberle won for the second time and decided on the victory of Mladá Boleslav 4: 3. The skating club thus leads in a 3: 1 series and the winner of the basic part is thus one match from the surprising elimination.
