HP revealed a VR helmet, created in conjunction with Valve and Microsoft | news

HP showed off the HP Reverb G2 VR helmet and talked about its specifications. The device was developed jointly with Microsoft and Valve.

Unlike the Valve Index, the Reverb G2 will have a lower refresh rate, and the device will not be able to track the position of individual fingers. At the same time, the HP product will be equipped with screens with a higher resolution – 2160 by 2160 versus 1600 by 1440 for the helmet from Valve.

The cost of the HP Reverb G2 will be $ 599 (~ ₽42 thousand). At the moment, the product cannot be bought or pre-ordered, however, HP accepts reserve requests: when the product goes on sale, the company will contact potential buyers.

Announcement of Reverb G2 took place at the end of March 2020. Subsequently, thematic publications published graphic renderings of a VR device.
