HP Inc quarterly report. was characterized not only by conflicting forecasts of management about the state of affairs in the PC market. Enrique Lores, CEO of the company, explained that next year it will release a PC with a new architecture that allows users to actively work with artificial intelligence systems, leaving the most sensitive data within the local computing infrastructure.

As already noted, on the part of component developers partners HP Inc. to create a new platform are AMD, NVIDIA and Qualcomm. In an interview with the channel CNBC the head of the company also explained that HP Inc. simultaneously cooperates in this area with software developers, including service providers with artificial intelligence. The partners, according to Lores, are faced with the task of creating such personal computers that would significantly speed up data analysis, but at the same time would not transfer confidential information to third-party servers. It follows from his words that a connection to cloud services will still be required, so not all calculations will be carried out locally, just users will not be able to fear for the safety of sensitive information and its security.
«We think there is a real opportunity to create a new category of PC‘ Lores said. “[ИИ] will help us rethink what a PC is. The experience that customers will be able to get will be very different and we are working with all key software vendors, key chip vendors to redesign PC architecture.“. Such fundamentally new PCs, according to Lores, will come to the market as early as 2024.
As an example of the use of such a platform, Enrique Lores called the processing of a data array by a personal computer and the formation of a report that is convenient for a person to study. In the future, the system will make it possible to make clarifications about the form of presentation of the analysis results and draw conclusions by processing simple user requests in a natural language form. Such tools will definitely be in demand in the corporate segment, the leader of which is HP Inc. managed to become according to the results of the last fiscal quarter in terms of revenue.
