The body therefore recommends, at this level of knowledge acquired on the virus, to “wash the sheets and linen of a confirmed patient in a washing machine with a usual detergent and a cycle at minimum 60 degrees for at least 30 minutes “.
Data corroborated by two specialists with Checknews, the verification service of Release, who spoke with the virologist of the Lille CHU Anne Goffard and Gilles Pialoux, from the infectious and tropical diseases department of the Parisian hospital Tenon. The daily writes that “Covid-19 loses its infectious potential from exposure to 56 degrees for twenty to thirty minutes or 65 degrees for five to ten minutes”.
No alcohol or chlorine on fabrics
On its website, the World Health Organization (WHO) stresses that spraying alcohol or chlorine on the body and tissues will not kill the new coronavirus. And could even prove to be dangerous.
