But there are other ways to not receive chats from certain contacts without needing to be blocked. Namely by using the Archive feature on WhatsApp.
This feature will make the chat in an archived or muted state. So the chat will be archived and will not get any notifications when there is a new message.
New notifications will appear when a username is tagged or mentioned. In addition, when the message is replied to by the contact.
“Archives on WhatsApp allow you to manage private messages and prioritize important chats. Chat archives will still be archived and muted, but you can still change them back,” wrote WhatsApp on its Twitter account.
To use this feature, enter the WhatsApp application next to the Chat menu. Next is access to the Keep Chat Archived option.
Archive feature this time is the development of existing capabilities. At that time, individual and group chat threads will be archived logged into the user’s account.
WhatsApp also mentioned that the archive feature this time makes users have more control over their incoming contacts.
