Lemon in the laundry
Lemon itself is a natural bleaching agent. For example, if you rinse lemon in your hair, it will also become lighter. This also works for your white laundry. The advantage of lemon over other bleaching agents is that it is completely natural. It also leaves a wonderful, fresh lemon scent on your laundry, making it feel extra clean.
That is how it works:
Simply throw approximately 1 glass of (strained) lemon juice into the washing machine with your normal detergent and wash the white laundry as you normally would. You can also fill a large bucket with warm water and half a glass of lemon juice. Let your laundry soak in this overnight and it will be radiantly white again.
Tip: Lemon is not only good for the washing machine, your dishwasher is also happy with it. Place a slice of lemon in the rack of your dishwasher. This will make your dishwasher smell nice and your glasses will shine beautifully!
