For example, you can restrict the account of a user whose messages you want to read.
How to restrict an account on Instagram
This solution may seem strange, but it really works. If you restrict an account, your correspondence with that user will come to you in the request list. In this case, you can read the message and the user won’t know until you give them permission to correspond.
It’s quite easy to do. To do this, you must:
- Open l’application Instagram.
- Go to profileuser you want to restrict.
- Then you need to click on the 3 horizontal dots in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Here you have to choose the top option Restrict.
- You will recieve so a notice indicating that the user’s account is restricted.
- Here, justgo to your direct messages and go to the Requests section to see the match you were looking for and read the latest message without notification.
This restriction means that only you and that person will be able to read each other’s comments and messages. If you want to view messages only once without notification, remember to remove the restriction afterwards.

turn off the internet
This is a very simple and effective method. To do this you will need to:
- Open l’application Instagram.
- Go into theDirect messages tab.
- Refresh ensuite the tab and verify that the message you want is listed.
- Ensuite, turn off the internet on your device. Make sure you disconnect at once your Internet mobile and your connexion Wi-Fi.
- You can now open message which has been cached in Instagram.
- At the end, after reading it, you must log out of your account and reconnect after connecting to the Internet.
Read the message using notifications
The easiest and most obvious way is to read the message in a preview notification that Instagram sends you when someone posts to you. This works well with short messages, but won’t be as relevant if the message sent to you is really long.
