How to add music or audio to Windows Live Movie Maker

Creating a video or slideshow with your Windows 7 computer is a process that can take many directions. If you have Microsoft Powerpoint, you might be able to just create a series of slides that display the images you want to show. This is a perfectly acceptable solution for many people, but it doesn’t give you a solution if you want to create a video. Fortunately, anyone with Windows 7 can download a video editing program called Windows Live Movie Maker for free. The program’s interface is very user-friendly, and you have a number of tools at your disposal to do almost anything you need to do, including adding a song, audio, or music file to your video.

Once the program is installed on your computer, you can start adding sound to your video in Windows Live Movie Maker.

Start Windows Live Movie Maker by clicking Start Click at the bottom of your screen All Programsand then click Windows Live Movie Maker.

In the middle of the window there is a link that says Click here to browse for videos and photos. Click on this link and then double click on the video file that you want to add your music or audio file to. However, you don’t have to select this sound file just yet.

press the Home at the top of the window, and then click Add Music by doing Add of the tape. If you are trying to add music at a specific point in your video, you should first select that point in the video and then click the drop-down arrow to the right of Add Music and choose the Add music at the current point instead of this.

Double-click the music or audio file you want to add to your video. This will add a green banner over your video showing the audio file name. A Music Tools tab is also added at the top of the window.

press the Music Tools, which changes the options on the ribbon. You can use these options to change how the music is associated with your video file. For example, you can adjust the volume of the music, fade it in or out, and change the song start and end points.

When you’re done editing your video, click the blue Movie Maker in the upper left corner of the window. If you feel that at some point you want to make changes to the video, choose the Save Project. When the video is ready and you just want to output it in a format that you can upload to the web or share with someone, use the Save Movie to select your desired output format.
