The Rajasthan Royals have announced the release of current captain and Australian Steve Smith as captain ahead of the 14th edition of the IPL star auction.
Last season, Sanju scored 375 runs in 14 innings for the Royals.
With Sanju becoming the captain of the team, Kerala is looking at whether more Malayalee players will play in the IPL.
