Governor Kathy Hochul introduced an initiative that aims to create affordable housing and reduce the homeless population over the next five years. Gabriela Sandoval Requena, from the New Destiny Housing organization, affirms that the plan is positive, but that “there is a need and an opportunity to do more.”
