How can Borisov not be in the role of a light woman, and Slavi’s cabinet pass? | | News from Bulgaria and the World

The strange behavior of the leader of Ima such people Slavi Trifonov, who even before the election results came out, announced the composition of an independent cabinet on Facebook, full of old muzzles from NMSS, shocked everyone.

From the political reactions so far, it is clear that the authoritarian assembly on TV does not find support from the other two protest coalitions “Democratic Bulgaria” and “Stand up! Get out!”, And the BSP has categorically stated that it will vote against. GERB announced yesterday that they will not support the cabinet, and former Prime Minister Boyko Borissov even said that any party that supports this government will be in the role of a light woman.

Only the MRF is mysteriously silent.

The co-chairman of Democratic Bulgaria, Hristo Ivanov, is adamant that Trifonov clearly does not rely on the support of the union, but on someone else’s. And many colorful analysts once again saw the long arm behind the scenes, Dogan and the Library Institute in Slavi’s draft office. There was even talk of how GERB and the MRF would secure the support of a government led by former tsarist yuppie Niki Vassilev.

And if there is a barn scenario, it can be established very easily!

According to the Bulgarian constitution, there is an option for the showman Trifonov’s Facebook cabinet to be voted only with the votes of the 65 deputies of Ima such a people, without any of the other parties of the status quo having to be “in the role of a light woman”. This can happen if the BSP, Democratic Bulgaria and “Stand up! Get out!” Are not registered in the parliamentary session for the election of the government. Then, hypothetically, GERB and MRF could provide a quorum close to the minimum – 121 votes. Even without a vote, the parties that have secured a quorum, ITN MPs will be enough for the cabinet to pass.

With a quorum of 121 deputies, only 61 votes are enough to elect a government. The basis is the text of Art. 81 of the Constitution:

(1) (Amended, SG No. 12/2007) The National Assembly shall open its sittings and adopt its acts when more than half of the Members of Parliament are present.

(2) The National Assembly shall adopt laws and other acts by a majority of more than half of the members of parliament present, except when the Constitution requires another majority.

Such a scenario is theoretically possible, but unlikely in practice. In case the protest parties and the BSP are really against this cabinet of Trifonov, the most logical thing is to participate in the meeting and vote against. Then it will become clear on whose support Slavi relies, announcing a cabinet with an absurd composition and priorities in the presence of only 65 of its deputies.
