Ministry of Defence Russia claimed to have carried out large-scale attacks on military targets and energy infrastructure throughout Ukraine. The attack was carried out using high-precision weapons.
In its daily briefing, the Russian Defense Ministry said it achieved all of its goals by bombing new cities in Ukraine. It also thwarted Ukraine’s attempts to penetrate its defenses in the South Kherson region.
“Throughout the day, the Russian military continued to hit Ukraine’s military command facilities and energy systems with long-range, high-precision air and sea weapons. All targeted objects were hit,” said the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement. Reuters, Monday (10/17/2022).

With this military activity, Ukraine’s Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyi said, several people were killed in air strikes. Russia last Monday in Ukrainian cities.
Russia stepped up its missile strikes across Ukraine after one of its key bridges was attacked. The bridge connects Russia with the Crimean peninsula, the Ukrainian territory that Russia “annexed” earlier this month.
After the explosion, Russia finally unleashed its largest missile attack since its invasion of Ukraine. He caters to more than a dozen cities and regions across the country. Russia also launched several follow-up missile strikes in the following days.
