Jakarta

Another death from a malfunctioning Takata airbag. This time a driver died due to an airbag failure on a 2002 model Honda Accord.

This marks the fourth death due to a problem with a Takata airbag. Repeated deaths due to faulty Takata airbags are forcing motorists to be vigilant and immediately check if their vehicle is affected by the recall program.

“Whatever you do, stop now and check to see if your vehicle has been affected by a Takata airbag recall. If so, make an appointment to get your free repair done as soon as possible,” the Agency said. US Highway Traffic Safety (NHTSA). Administrator Ann Carlson.

“If these airbags fail in a crash, they could kill you or someone you love, or leave them with life-altering serious injuries. Every day that passes without having recalled airbags replaced puts you and your family at greater risk of injury or death Carlson continued.
