Horeca most often receives one-off corona support of 4,000 euros NOW

Cafés and restaurants have received the one-off payment of 4,000 euros most often, according to figures from Statistics Netherlands on Thursday. This scheme, the Entrepreneur Affected Sectors Allowance (TOGS), has created the government to accommodate companies that have been severely affected by the corona measures.

86 percent of the restaurants had made use of the scheme on 15 May 2020. This was 81 percent for cafés. This makes the catering industry the sector that has most often been awarded the allowance by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).

Other branches where many entrepreneurs have made use of the scheme are mainly the retail sector, such as clothing stores. Fair attractions have often also been paid the amount.
