The man sued a woman after taking her dog and not returning it.

Dogs are part of the family for many, but when in addition to pets they serve as service or companion animals, the relationship between these furry animals and their owners has a more intimate sentimental bond and that was what led a man on the streets to denounce a woman in Los Angeles for having stolen her dog.
According to information from local media, a homeless man named James Michael Nicholos reported in Van Nuys Superior Court a woman who at first he offered to bathe his dog on December 31, but never came back to deliver it.
According to the lawsuit accessed by NBC, the man works at START Rescue, a resale store for animal supplies, where he met Nicole Lawrence, the woman who offered to bathe Boots, a rather peculiar brown Labrador who has accompanied James for six years.
But despite the fact that the woman promised to bring her the dog before 5 o’clock in the afternoon of the same day, she never returned since the beginning of the year contacted him to tell him that he had lost the dog in a park an hour after picking him up and after that cut off communication with the homeless man.
However, on January 3, a neighbor of the woman reported seeing her walking with Boots, after an organization helped the man post details of the dog on social media.
After learning that Boots was in the woman’s possession, James decided to sue her last week accusing her of various crimes and seeking compensation of at least $ 100,000, the return of Boots and an indictment for damages.
After the man’s lawsuit, perhaps unexpected for the woman, Fox 11 was able to confirm that both James and Boots they met again with a video that went viral on social networks, dismantling Lawrence’s version in which he said he had lost the animal.
It is currently unknown if the man will pursue the lawsuit now that he has been reunited with Boots.
