Matt Maloney, founder of Grubhub, has known Jitse Groen since 2007. He is happy with the takeover by Just Eat Takeaway. “With the support of Just Eat Takeaway, our goal is to accelerate our mission to become the fastest, best, and most appreciated meal delivery service in North America and beyond.”
Grubhub – which has 115,000 restaurants on the list in more than 3,000 cities in the US – has not been doing well in the past year. Maloney’s company lost a lot of market share, including to newcomer DoorDash.
