The actor began his career in the late 1970s, but earned fame and recognition in the 1980s. His roles reveal the diversity of Hert’s talent, from dramas to Marvel works.

Hert has been nominated for an Oscar several times, but he was featured in the gilded statuette in 1986 for his work on “Kiss of the Spider Woman.” In the film, he plays a homosexual prisoner in a Brazilian prison. Viewers also know him as General Thadeus Ros in the Marvel diggers.

The actor’s son Will announced the death of the actor on social networks. “He left calmly in the presence of loved ones. The family is asking for respect for its privacy during the mourning period,” the actor’s son writes.

William Hert has starred in films such as “Children of a Lesser God” (1986), “Broadcast News” (1987), “A History of Violence” (2005), “AI Artificial Intelligence” (2001), “Into the Wild” ( 2007), Robin Hood (2010) and many others.
