A return to Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart is conceivable for Thomas Hitzlsperger. “VfB is of course still in my heart. I’ve never ruled it out, but now there are a lot of good people at work and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it will be good. If there’s a place for me again and everything goes well, then very much gladly again,” the former CEO told kicker.
Hitzlsperger’s contract with VfB, which expires in autumn 2022, was terminated prematurely in March. Alexander Wehrle has taken over the post.
Hitzlsperger is apparently planning a return to TV around the World Cup in Qatar. “I will comment in some way, participate,” said the former ZDF and BR expert, who currently acts as a diversity ambassador for the German Football Association (DFB).
