The fastest production car in the world (a quarter-mile sprint) has finally reached its first registered piece in a few years.

If we should mention one carmaker that is not well-established and about which there is a lot of (rightfully) hearing lately, it is Rimac. The Croatian supersport manufacturer Rimac Automobili was founded in 2009 and has come a long and interesting way since then. Founder Mate Rimac managed to break through with his business plan so much that in 2021 a group of Bugatti and Rimac brands merged and formed. And Mate Rimac also became the CEO of the newly formed Bugatti-Rimac doo group
Rimac introduced the C_Two concept in 2018. Three years later, a production version of Rimac Nevera was introduced. The Croatian supersport with four electric motors boasts an impressive output of 1408 kW (1915 hp) and a torque of 2360 Nm. Nevera completes incredible numbers, for example, by driving a quarter of a mile in 8.95 seconds. This is 45 hundredths better time than the Bugatti Chiron!

Four years after the introduction of the concept, a big milestone is coming. The first of 150 planned Rimac Nevera supersports has been officially registered. The numbers contained in the Croatian license plate “ZG 2360 NM” symbolize the value of Nevera’s torque. Historically, the first Rimac Nevera on the road belongs to the company itself, so it will remain in its home country of Croatia. The car has been homologated for worldwide sales, so despite the low number of planned specimens, Croatian supersport can appear in all corners of the world.

Due to the wide range of individualization, each of the 150 planned Rima Nevera should be different. However, what all Nevers will have in common is, in addition to the mentioned power, a battery with a capacity of 120 kWh (range 550 km), Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, updating infotainment via internet connection or the so-called Drive Coach, who uses thirteen cameras, six radars and twelve Ultrasonic sensors can advise the driver on the best track on the race track.
