In the medieval village of Estavayer, the Quest for Humbert the Bastard invites you to follow in the footsteps of the illustrious knight Humbert of Savoy, born around 1377 and died in 1443 at the Château de Chenaux. For two hours, detectives of all ages will explore a dozen places once frequented by the man who gave the Staviac castle its final shape. As a result, more than 10,000 francs in vouchers will be available in the shops of the Friborg borough.
Every first Thursday
On the other side of the cantonal border, theQueen Berthe investigation takes place over a longer period of time, throughout the 20 visit points of the new museum trail of the abbey of Payerne. With the help of archaeologists and historians, who will present various videos every first Thursday of the month until April 2021, the goal will be to discover the location of the tomb of Queen Berthe of Swabia, buried on the site in the year de Grâce 961. Animations and monthly workshops will enhance this game over time.
Fruit of the work of the cultural engineering company Thematis, the realization of these activities cost 150,000 francs, the legislatures of the two localities having given their approval to the expenditure. This economic recovery plan is financially supported by the regional community of Broye (Coreb) for a third.
