Highs are expected to remain in the high 90s so wind chills could rise as high as 111 degrees in DC and some Virginia and Maryland counties such as Fairfax, Quantico and Baltimore, respectively.

“Be very careful if you work outdoors because the heat will be more intense than it was (on Thursday),” warned Telemundo 44 meteorologist Joseph Martínez.

The expert also anticipated that the high temperatures will continue until the weekend.

“On Saturday the intense heat will continue with the humidity, fortunately for Sunday drier air will arrive so the temperatures will drop,” he explained.

On Saturday there is a chance of rain for the afternoon and the thermometer could reach 100 degrees. However, Sunday looks dry with little chance of precipitation.
