Divorce villa for sale
You can safely call Landhuis Randhoeve a famous villa. The house starred years ago in the popular RTL drama series Divorce. The series revolved around three divorced people in their forties and was set in the Haarlem area from 2012 to 2016. And yes, the villa – where the ex of one of the men lived – is actually within cycling distance of Haarlem. In the Bloemendaal municipality of Aerdenhout to be precise.
The series, created by Linda de Mol, was a great success and ended in 2016 after four seasons at its so-called peak.
Well-known architect and well-known resident
But in addition to its famous TV career, the villa also has another rich history, both in terms of architecture and former residents. The villa was built in 1927 under the architecture of Pierre Cuypers, known for, among others, the Rijksmuseum and Central Station in Amsterdam. In addition, astronaut Wubbo Ockels is also said to have lived here.
The plot on which the villa is located is no less than 9156 m² and therefore also has a huge driveway. The house itself is also large, to say the least, with a living area of 614 m². It contains fourteen rooms, including nine bedrooms, three bathrooms, a heated swimming pool with pool house and a spacious carport with an electric charging station. A large space to heat, but fortunately the house runs entirely on solar energy through 28 solar panels on the south.
Been for sale for a long time
You would think that it is a popular villa, and yet the villa has been for sale for quite some time in the past. So wrote the AD that a previous resident in 2014 was unable to sell the cottage for a long time. He even offered a Ferrari and had to drop the price considerably. At the time, the asking price dropped from 4.9 million to just under 3.8 million euros. Now, ten years later, the house has been for sale again for two weeks.
