A Hispanic will serve 20 years in prison in New York for abusing eight children in his wife’s daycare on Long Island.
The abuses to victims, between the ages of 3 and 10were extended for a period of five years that began in 2010.
The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office reported this week that Angel Tacuri, 53, pleaded guilty. of sexual acts.
The man was sentenced Thursday.
“This defendant took away the innocence of little children and traumatized them in the process to satisfy his depraved desires and that is something that he never gets back,” District Attorney Raymond Tierney said in written statements.
“This lengthy sentence ensures that the defendant will no longer be able to harm any other children and ensures that will be monitored for years after he is released“, highlighted the prosecutor.

Tacuri pleaded guilty to three counts of first degree course of sexual conduct against a childone first-degree criminal sexual act and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse.
Initially, in June 2021, Tacuri was accused of abusing six children. Later, two other victims went to the authorities.
Had he not pleaded guilty, Tacuri faced a sentence of 50 years in prison.
