HiSense releases new phone with E Ink color display in China – Tablets and phones – News

HiSense has announced a new smartphone with an E Ink screen that can display colors. It is a modified version of the earlier A7 smartphone that had a black and white screen from E Ink. The phone is only released in China.

It’s about de HiSense A7CC, a phone that is exactly the same in terms of specifications as the A7 5G that came out a month ago. It had a Chinese Unisoc Tiger-T7150 octacore processor of up to 2GHz, 6GB of ram and 128GB of storage. The current phone also has that, including support for 5G. The phone also has a battery of 4770mAh that can fast charge with 18W. There are two cameras on the back, but it is not known how big the lenses are.

The change is therefore in the screen. The A7CC has an E Ink screen that can display 4096 colors. The screen has a diagonal of 6.7 inches and a pixel density of 100ppi. It is not known what its refresh rate is.

The phone is very similar to the A5, which is HiSense last year at the CES show. That phone was the first with an E Ink color screen, which Tweakers previewed. That phone was not released in Europe, and that does not seem to be the case with the A7CC. It also seems that there is no Pro variant like the previous model, which could show the same number of colors but had a higher refresh rate. In China, the A7CC costs 2399 yuan, or 307 euros.
