His coach saved the fainted American rider at the World Water Championships in Budapest

His coach saved several American Olympic medalists from the pool – written by the Rfi.fr. Synchronized swimmer Anita Alvarez is already fine, overcoming the accident without serious injury.

Andrea Fuentes jumped after his racer when he saw him sink to the bottom of the pool. The coach said he was forced to step in immediately, “I shouted at the lifeguards to jump into the water, but they didn’t hear or understand what I was saying.”

Fuentes so jumped himself up and brought up the unconscious Alvarez, whose water had gone into his lungs, but the team said he was already fine.

This is not the first time a 25-year-old has lost consciousness, as did a qualifier at an Olympic qualifier in Barcelona last year.
