Hilarious Lara Croft Cosplay Takes Us Back to the 90s Video Game Era

Nowadays, it is common to see people complaining about FPS rates during gameplay and low quality textures in games. However, in the not so distant past, this was the least of the problems.

Due to the limitation of hardware at the time, many producers performed miracles, creating games that marked the lives of many people. One of them was “Tomb Raider”, originally released in 1996 for the Sega Saturn and later for the PlayStation and MS-DOS.

The player controls Lara Croft, an archeologist who investigates tombs, dungeons and ancient sites in search of relics and treasure. All this while she solves puzzles and faces supernatural creatures.

The character can run, jump, somersault and hang, interacting with various objectives during gameplay. One of his most striking features is his striking body features, which at the time were still very “square”.

With that in mind, the Hungarian cosplayer and costume designer Enji Night created a hilarious cosplay replicating the look of Lara Croft at that time.

“I hear you miss polygonal Lara! I know there was supposed to be a third version of Lara posted today, but as I mentioned in my Stories, unfortunately, the overall look didn’t turn out as I had hoped. I thought it was weird and it didn’t suit me, and as much as I tried to change my makeup and edit the photos, I ended up dissatisfied.”explained the artist.
