Hi-Fi Rush: Arcade Challenge Update Brings New Modes and Exciting Additions

Tango Gameworks and Microsoft surprised most when they launched Hi-Fi Rush during an event in January without announcing the game in advance. It quickly became a big hit on both Steam and Xbox, and also received good reviews in the media.

Now this success story has gotten even better thanks to a pretty big update called Arcade Challenge. The main attractions are the two new modes BPM Rush! and Power Up! Tower Up! The former sounds a bit Horde-inspired, with waves of enemies to defeat as the difficulty (speed) steadily increases, while the latter lets you play a Chai with no powers, while gaining upgrades after each round. But by getting negative modifiers (Bugs) it is possible to achieve a higher score.

In addition to all this, there are also other additions such as new outfits, photo mode improvements and more, including an update. Check out the list of what’s been fixed below.

Adjusted the training room menu to prevent you from accidentally returning to the hideout. To return to the hideout, you must now hold down the cancel button while in the training room menu.
(Track 06) Fixed an issue where a successful rhythm parade against Corsica resulted in a game crash.
(Track 09) Fixed an issue where FPS would lock at 60FPS for the rest of the Mimosa fight after the guitar playing musical interlude.
(Track 10) Fixed an issue where the player could still control Chai at the end of Roquefort’s second phase and potentially fall out of the arena when phase 3 of the match begins.
(Track 12) Fixed a rare issue where a successful rhythm parade against Kale’s phase 1 ending sequence resulted in a game crash.
Fixed a collision issue with the “Holo-Chai” special attack that could hinder the player’s progress when the decoy was deployed off the field during combat. It seems that even a hologram of Chai can still destroy things…
Fixed an issue where partner assistants could get locked in “aim mode” when pressing Alt+Tab during gameplay.
Added support for scrolling with the mouse wheel when reading vlogs for a smooth and refreshing reading experience.
