Hezbollah Secretary-General’s Intense Speech Draws Major Attention from Israeli Media

The Israeli media stopped at the speech of the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, describing it as “pouring very cold water” on all the proposals that talk about “withdrawing the Radwan force to the north of the Litani,” and a phased ceasefire.

  • The Israeli media described Sayyed Nasrallah’s speech as “the most intense in a long time.”

The speech of the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, which he delivered today, Tuesday, on the occasion of “Day of the Wounded Resistant,” topped the news and analysis in the Israeli media, which reported clips of the speech, describing it as “the most intense speech in a long time.”

The Arab affairs analyst for the Israeli Channel 12, Ehud Yaari, stopped at Mr. Nasrallah’s response to the words of the Minister of Security in the Israeli occupation government, Yoav Galant, about the separation between the ceasefire in Gaza and in northern occupied Palestine, by talking about two million refugees in the entity. The occupation, as Yaari considered it “an indication of the emptying of the entire area north of Haifa.”

Ya’ari also stopped at what he referred to as “self-confidence”, which was evident in Sayyed Nasrallah’s statement, sarcastically, about moving the Litani to the border line, as an easier solution than moving Hezbollah to the north of the Litani.

The Israeli analyst added that Sayyed Nasrallah is “laughing at the envoys who visited Beirut, Amos Hochstein and others,” referring to Sayyed Nasrallah’s statement, “They came to frighten us and we are not afraid,” and his saying that “Israel” does not dare to attack Beirut and is maintaining the framework. And the rules do not expand.

In turn, the Arab affairs commentator on the Israeli Kan channel, Roi Kayes, saw that the speech comes “after what we heard last night about the French proposal for a settlement that includes the withdrawal of the Radwan Force 10 kilometers away, the deployment of 15,000 soldiers from the Lebanese army, and a gradual ceasefire in a settlement over Stages,” concluding that Sayyed Nasrallah “poured very cold water on all these initiatives,” saying that the front in Lebanon “will remain effective as long as the front in Gaza is effective.”

As for the military affairs analyst on the Kan channel, Roi Sharon, he said: “Our situation in the northern region is truly a shame for Israel. The residents there are unable to dream of when they will be able to return to their homes, and we are not close to any agreement there.”
