Hettange-Grande sports hall. Since the start of the week, intense activity has reigned there. On the ground, squares of carpet have been laid, white tents erected and computer stations installed. 500 doses per weekend

Designed to be able to administer 250 Moderna vaccines per day through five vaccination posts, the center is aimed at people over 75 years old, health personnel and 50-74 year olds with co-morbidities. “In the event that all the doses cannot be administered, an emergency list has been drawn up by the CCAS and the inter-municipal authorities. This remains in our line to avoid waste ”, specifies the sub-prefect. 22 people mobilized per half-day

To function, the center needs arms. Per half-day, six nurses and four doctors intervene, but also eight administrative agents, two liaison and two disinfection, that is to say 22 people continuously. Volunteer caregivers, but also municipal and inter-municipal agents who donate their time. “In addition, a security company will intervene at night,” adds Michel Paquet, president of the CCCE. “It’s a hell of a lot of logistics that you wouldn’t imagine before it was put in place. This center was born from the collaboration of the municipality and the CCCE, and this is what made things easier. Now all you have to do is get started.
