Frustrated at having to wait until November (12th in England, 18th in Belgium) for the release of No Time to Die, 14,000 James Bond fans chomped at the bit by responding to a poll by Radio Times regarding their favorite 007.
As expected, the first to put on the tuxedo, Sean Connery wins. But his closest pursuers were not necessarily expected in these places. In second place comes Timothy Dalton and in third Pierce Brosnan. It is paradoxical to say the least: Timothy Dalton has met with only very limited success in the cinema, while Daniel Craig holds all the records at the box office. The absence of Roger Moore, whose elegance and humor greatly appealed to his time, is also unexpected.
At the same time, fans were asked what their ideal future 007 would be. And here too, the result is surprising. Sam Heughan, the star of the series Outlander, comes far ahead (30% of the vote), ahead of Tom Hardy (14%), Henry Cavill (11%), Idris Elba (10%) and Tom Hiddleston (5%). Perhaps a good indication for the future.
