Here are the travel rules for popular destinations at Christmas

The whole of Norway is classified as a risk area in the EU / EEA area, which means that travelers from Norway are covered by strict entry rules. It is the traveler’s responsibility to stay up to date and informed about the current rules for the destination country.

Spain

Austria

In Austria, you can be denied access to places if you cannot present a valid corona passport.

England

In England, there are now only two categories of countries: “red list and the rest of the world”, where Norway is red. Here, fully vaccinated must also be tested during the first two days in the country, and the test must be booked and paid for before leaving Norway. Everyone must fill out a self-declaration form with an address for all accommodation.

You must be tested even if the stay is shorter than 48 hours. In the case of a positive test, it is right in the ten-day quarantine.

If you cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons, follow the same rules as the fully vaccinated. However, if you have chosen not to be vaccinated, you must take a test during the three days before departure, then take the mandatory two-day test on arrival and self-isolate for ten days.

USA

The rules vary at the state level, but there are some general main points. Travelers by plane to the USA must both be vaccinated and be able to present a negative corona test result during the last three days before departure.

Also in the United States a self-declaration is required, and unvaccinated are not allowed to enter.

Remember that medical care and hospital stays in the United States in general are very expensive. Only immediate help is treated without an insurance guarantee.

Switzerland

Switzerland differs from other European countries in that fully vaccinated people do not need to be tested. For the unvaccinated, it is sufficient to present a negative test result on arrival and then take a new test after four to seven days. Quarantine is not imposed. All visitors must fill in self-declaration form.
