Ninth-graders from the sports school “Vasil Levski” in Plovdiv helped a man and a woman who fell into the waters of the Rowing Canal. The incident happened yesterday at 4.30 pm.
The man and woman, but helpless near the shore, were unable to escape on their own. And so until the moment when they were noticed by the young athletes from the canoeing club Trakia Plovdiv.
“There were other people, but they stood and watched. My friend and I didn’t think about it at all and we helped people out. Everything happened very quickly, there was no panic,” the young heroes told BNT.
