Here are the annual estimates of the EU funds that will be distributed by the Agriculture Fund – 2024-02-14 14:19:54


The Council of Ministers approved the annual estimates of the account for the means from the European Union on State Fund Agriculture” for 2024

A total of BGN 3,209.29 million is planned for the financing of direct area payments, market measures, the Program for the Development of Rural Areas, the Program for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas of the Republic of Bulgaria for the period 2023-2027. Of these, BGN 2,752.99 million are at the expense of the European Union and BGN 456.3 million are from the national budget.

BGN 997.01 million have been earmarked for the development of rural areas. Payments will mainly be directed under measure 4 “Investments in tangible assets”, measure 6 “Development of the economy and economic activity”, measure 7 “Basic services and renewal of villages in rural areas” and measure 19 LEADER.

Under the line of direct payments, co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for the Development of Rural Areas, 409.38 million BGN have been pledged under the PRDP 2014-2020 and the new Strategic Plan 2023-2027. The fields of agroecology, organic farming are covered , assistance in disadvantaged areas and others.

BGN 137.63 million has been earmarked for market measures in the beekeeping and viticulture sectors, as well as for “School fruit”, “School milk” and other schemes.

BGN 1,620.28 million has been set for direct payments from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund, including under the single area payment scheme, as well as for production-related payments for animals, fruits, vegetables and others.

BGN 44.99 million have been allocated under the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Program 2014-2020.
