‘Hepatitis can’t wait’.
That is the theme this year for World Hepatitis Day, which the World Health Organization organizes every year on July 28.
- Hepatitis means: inflammation of the liver.
- There are several types, including hepatitis A, B, and C.
- In the Netherlands, 40,000 people are infected with hepatitis B and 28,000 with hepatitis C.
That’s why the team of us Hepatitis Treatment Center today we would like to put extra emphasis on ‘being quick with treatment’.
But why can’t hepatitis wait? What happens if you don’t do anything about it? And how do you get it?
