Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID) General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS), Mining Industry BUMN Holding consisting of PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), PT Inalum (Persero), PT Timah Tbk (TINS), and PT Freeport Indonesia, held today, Friday (29/10/2021).
This GMS decided to overhaul the management of the company, both the board of directors and commissioners.
SOE Minister Erick Thohir decided to replace MIND ID President Director Orias Petrus Moedak. Orias has served as the President Director of MIND ID since November 25, 2019, replacing Budi Gunadi Sadikin, who was then appointed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as Deputy Minister of BUMN.
The newly appointed Managing Director of MIND ID is Hendi Prio Santoso.
This change in MIND ID management was also confirmed by the Special Staff of the Minister of SOEs, Arya Sinulingga.
“Yeah, right,” said Arya to CNBC Indonesia, Friday (29/10/2021).
He mentioned that there were four directors and one new commissioner who were appointed at the GMS.
Then, who is Hendi who is now leading this BUMN Mining Holding?
Hendi was previously the President Director of PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) since September 15, 2017.
The man who was born in Jakarta, February 5, 1967, has also served as President Director of PT PGN Tbk (PGAS) for nine years, namely the period 2008-2017.
He completed his education majoring in Finance and Economics (double majors) with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Houston (1988-1990). Previously, he had graduated from the Department of Economics from The University of Texas at Austin (1986-1988).
Prior to his career in BUMN, Hendi was Director of Investment Banking at PT JP Morgan Securities Indonesia for the period 2004-2007.
With his new position as President Director of MIND ID, it means that now he has served as the highest executive leader in three large SOEs, namely PT PGN Tbk (PGAS), PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR), and now MIND ID.
