Help Linda Stop MS: A Call for Support for Life-Changing Treatment

No time to waste doing today what might not be tomorrow
more goes…

Hi everybody,

I am Linda, 40 years old and mother of a beautiful daughter of 8 years old.
I met my great love Martijn 3 years ago, with two bonus daughters!!

Almost 11 years ago I was diagnosed with MS. Not knowing what MS entailed at the time, I decided to stay positive. With the motto, it will be alright again! However, I was quite wrong about this…

Now years later and many different medical treatments further, I have come to the point where there is only 1 treatment left, namely the (aHSCT) stem cell transplant to stop the MS. Since December 2022, this treatment has been reimbursed in the Netherlands for a specific group of MS patients.
Although I have been diagnosed with RRMS (relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis), according to my neurologist I do not meet the additional requirements to undergo this treatment in the Netherlands and to be reimbursed.

The purpose of the stem cell transplant is to “reset” the immune system so that inflammatory MS cells no longer attack the brain. The treatment can lead to stabilization of the disease, and possibly even recovery of the loss of function (Sleepless nights due to nerve pain, forgetfulness, feeling of fog in my head, trailing leg, tingling, loss of strength, blackouts and impaired vision).

I can have this treatment (aHSCT – stem cell transplant) on August 28, 2023 at Clinica Ruiz in Mexico. This clinic performs the same treatment, and the care and aftercare here is very good. This treatment and additional costs amount to €65,000. An amount that cannot be paid by me and my family. This is why I am forced to start a crowdfunding.

Although I don’t like to ask for help, I have no choice but to do so. I am a ticking time bomb and although you don’t see anything about me on the outside at first glance, I have no time to lose. It is important to get treated as soon as possible to prevent the disease from causing more permanent damage and ending up in a wheelchair or worse…

Will you support me in my struggle? This can be done via this website: GoFundMe.

“IT’S TIME, I WANT TO SEE THE SUN SHINE AGAIN!”
To anyone willing to make a donation, big or small, my daughter and I are forever grateful.
Love from Linda
