Second round for Corona aid

Up to 200,000 euros in additional funds are available for small and medium-sized companies to secure the existence of the companies in the corona pandemic. In times of increasing numbers of infections, the program was expanded compared to the spring and increased again.

The business development support for bridging aid II comprises 24.6 billion euros, as the state parliament member Alfred Sauter reports. If the first support program took effect at a 60 percent drop in sales, the extended program took effect from a 30 percent drop in sales compared to the same period of the previous year (April to August).

Applications can be submitted from now until December 31st through the company’s auditors, such as tax advisors, lawyers or auditors. Fixed costs such as rent, property tax, license fees or costs for apprentices are covered.

Cross-sector companies and organizations as well as non-profit companies and organizations that are economically active are eligible to apply. The percentage of fixed costs that is reimbursed depends on the slump in sales and is between 40 and 90 percent. Public companies are excluded. In addition, on December 31, 2019, the applicant must not have been considered a “company in difficulty” according to the EU definition. (zg)
