Heavy Rain Causes Flood in West Surabaya – Locations and Updates

Flood hit the West Surabaya area. BPBD Surabaya recorded a number of locations in West Surabaya flooded after the area was hit by heavy rain.

Head of BPBD Surabaya, Agus Hebi Djuniantoro, said that before the inundation report was submitted to BPBD, the west Surabaya area was hit by heavy rain from 14.00 WIB to 18.00 WIB.

“It’s been raining since noon, from 14.00 WIB to 18.00 WIB,” said Agus as quoted by detikJatimSunday (18/2/2024).

Based on data from BPBD Surabaya as of Saturday (17/2) at 21.28 WIB, it was recorded that a number of locations experienced inundation that was quite high, reaching 40 cm.

The following is a list of locations that were flooded due to heavy rain since afternoon in West Surabaya.

1. Jl. West Pakal near Pakal Village
2. Jl. Raya Beji RT 01, RW 04
3. Jl. Sepat Tongue Kulon, RT 05, RW 05
4. Jl. Tengger Raya, Benowo
5. Villa Bukit Regency 3, Lontar
6. Jl. Raya Citraland (Gwalk – Consul General)
7. Jl. Raya Pakal, Jl. Raya Raci
