Blue Sky Studios, the animation studio behind the ‘Ice Age’ films, closed its doors in 2019 due to a merger with Disney. As a parting gift for all the big fans, Blue Sky has shared a final short video where Scrat, the prehistoric squirrel, can finally keep up with his acorn.

Who the Ice Agemovies, Scrat the squirrel will undoubtedly know. In just about every movie, Scrat goes on an adventure looking for a place to keep his acorn safe (usually unsuccessfully). Blue Sky Studios is the lead author of Ice Agebut is now shut down due to the recent merger with Disney and 20th Century Fox.

As a final gift for the fans, the film artists launched the Ice Agemovies a short Youtube video titled The end† In 34 seconds you can see how the popular squirrel shakes his acorn one last time and can (finally) eat it. “In the last days of Blue Sky Studios, a small team of artists came together to make one last recording. This video is a goodbye in our own way,” the studio said on Youtube. The video has already gained more than one million views.

Those who thought Scrat would never appear on television again, don’t worry: the squirrel has got its own series on Disney+ called Ice Age: Scrat tales† In the six-part series, Scrat goes on an adventure with a smaller version of himself, in search of, yes, the perfect jerk.
